Christmas Light Installation in Aurora
Christmas light installation in Aurora, from the older streets near Yonge and Wellington to the newer subdivisions toward Bayview and Leslie.
Aurora sits immediately south of Newmarket along Yonge Street and shares its climate, including the December highs just below freezing recorded at the King Smoke Tree station a short distance to the west. Its housing runs from older brick and frame homes near the Yonge and Wellington crossroads to large two-storeys in the subdivisions built east toward Bayview and Leslie, with estate lots on the edges of town. The older core rewards a trim-led design and careful tree lighting; the newer streets suit long rooflines and permanent lighting. Aurora is its own municipality with its own heritage rules and by-laws, so a property in one of its heritage areas is checked with the Town of Aurora, not Newmarket. Aurora is also outside Newmarket-Tay Power's licensed area; the distributor named on your bill is the one that applies, and the Ontario Energy Board sets the Regulated Price Plan for both towns. Installs are quoted on the same terms as in Newmarket.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work in Aurora and East Gwillimbury?
Yes. Aurora to the south and Holland Landing, Queensville, Sharon and Mount Albert to the north are quoted on the same terms as Newmarket. What changes a quote is the house and the trees, not the town.
Is my house on Newmarket-Tay Power?
If you are in Newmarket, almost certainly. Its licensed area also takes in a strip of East Gwillimbury between Bathurst and Leslie Streets north of town. Elsewhere in East Gwillimbury and in Aurora, check the distributor named on your bill; the OEB sets the price plans either way.
Does the heritage district apply outside Main Street South?
The Lower Main Street South District covers Main Street from the crest of the hill to Water Street, Cedar Street and short sections of Millard, Park, Botsford and Timothy. Aurora has its own heritage rules; the municipality that the property is in is the one to ask.
