Christmas Light Installation in Stonehaven
Christmas light installation and permanent lighting in Stonehaven and the newer neighbourhoods of northeast Newmarket.
Stonehaven, in the northeast of town, is largely built out with two-storey houses from the 1990s and 2000s: brick fronts, broad garage elevations, covered entries, tall upper storeys and gables that sit well above six metres. Lighting these properly means the upper eave and gables as well as the garage line, and that is ladder work under Ontario's fall protection rules, often over sloping lawns and front steps. The continuous aluminum soffits are an ideal base for permanent lighting, which is why so many enquiries from this part of town are about it: one installation in a mild month, then warm white every evening and holiday colours on demand, with nobody on the upper gable in a sub-zero December again. Trees planted when the streets were built are now big enough to wrap. Houses here are on Newmarket-Tay Power, and timers are set with the Ontario Energy Board's time-of-use and Ultra-Low Overnight periods in mind.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work in Aurora and East Gwillimbury?
Yes. Aurora to the south and Holland Landing, Queensville, Sharon and Mount Albert to the north are quoted on the same terms as Newmarket. What changes a quote is the house and the trees, not the town.
Is my house on Newmarket-Tay Power?
If you are in Newmarket, almost certainly. Its licensed area also takes in a strip of East Gwillimbury between Bathurst and Leslie Streets north of town. Elsewhere in East Gwillimbury and in Aurora, check the distributor named on your bill; the OEB sets the price plans either way.
Does the heritage district apply outside Main Street South?
The Lower Main Street South District covers Main Street from the crest of the hill to Water Street, Cedar Street and short sections of Millard, Park, Botsford and Timothy. Aurora has its own heritage rules; the municipality that the property is in is the one to ask.
